    2009 to 2011 Tahoe

Has been a long time since I was on the forum. Lots happened in my life. I believe that the pic for my account is still showing the 2002 Tahoe I bought after talking on here but am now in the market for something newer. I am searching in the 2009 to 2011 years and wanted to see on here if...

    KN Cold Ain Induction

You could give me a cold air induction kit and I would not only not install it but would also sell it to the next unsuspecting Tahoe/Yukon owner. Why mess with a perfectly good running vehicle. Get some freakin' miles on it at least before you do this.

07 Tahoe LT 2nd row bucket seat

Since I have an '02 I am not familiar with the controls. Is it all mechanical or power button? Sorry about the question. I used to run repair shops for over 30 years but been over 8 since then. Some of the info I need I am rusty on so I will ask when I don't know.

    Won't turn over

maowens85, you made two posts here and instead of introducing your self to the forum, like you are supposed to do, you started right out with a problem and then 2 weeks later you bad mouth people. You sound like an entitlement jerk. Patience is a virtue, you don't have it. Oh, almost forgot...

08 tahoe 5.3 low oil pressure after filter & pump change

So, I am assuming with the new sender you replaced the seal/gasket at the sender mount to the pump. What is a pressure filter? Are you talking about an oil filter? How well has hat engine been taken care of over the 100k miles? If you have too much bearing clearance the oil pressure will be low...

Anybody know what this noise is? (Vid)

I think it sounds like a tensioner slapping around as well. Does the engine have a miss? Take the belt off and see if noise goes away.

    Tahoe clicking noise

I would be curious if you also felt the noise. In the floorboard under your feet or the passenger side if you have someone with you. When you hear it does it seem from the left or right side a and is it front or rear? As you are gaining speed does the noise increase or diminish till you get to...

Heater only kicks on at 90*

The broken a/c lines will not effect the heater. I also don't buy the flush causing/fixing the problem. 89 degrees and no work, 90 degrees and blows hot, no way. I think Murder is on the ball. here.

    2007 tahoe 4x4 help

Before you get too deep in the weeds I would disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and then reattach and see what happens.

    No heat.

The heater core may be clogged. Get a temp reading at both the in and out hoses when up to full temp. They should be fairly close in temp. You also may have a blend door problem but need to check basics first. Is the coolant low and do you have a coolant leak in the system? To get proper heat...

    2004 Tahoe blown head gasket?

The coolant bottle is showings signs of corrosion built up in the system before someone changed out coolant and added new coolant/water mix. The thin white smoke could be a sign of problems and maybe not. I would make sure the throttle body plate is cleaned, get cleaner at the parts store and...

valve replace ... am i asking for more problems?

IMO if I tear down an upper end that far I am fixing the whole head and not going thru all that labor for one cylinder and if doing 1 head would do both....etc. Time for reman engine at this point. I understand if money is tight but if the vehicle meets your needs, is paid for, rest of it in...

valve replace ... am i asking for more problems?

When you do the upper end and increase the pressure in the cylinder with tighter tolerances in the valve train then that puts more pressure on the lower end and can cause a failure. Would be best to have the same age and reliability with upper and lower ends of the engine.

Should I buy High Mileage 2005 Tahoe Z71???

IMO, a used vehicle can be a crap shoot sometimes. I buy used but know that may need work down the road. The work that was done would be worth even more if has all the paperwork to back up any claims. The Tahoe will be roomier than the Subaru. It is just whether it still meets your needs or were...
