has anyone looked into using leafs with an offset center pin like a jeep cherokee to move the rear axel back for fender cutting sense the rear is so close to the back door on the 4 doors ? i ask cause its a frequest mod on wranglers and being able to add larger tires with no lift adds stability by keeping the center of gravity low.

custom driveshafts are easy as long as ya have a doner shaft to get yokes from. you wopuld also have to have a pan hard bar or something to control axel wrap and also change the bumpstop locations ect but most of that is just mounting things farther back. you can gain up to 4 inches of clearence behind the rear door and then with some fender trimming you can run larger tires easy. im lookig into a solid front axel swap but i have to figure out the rear first. might as well upgrade the rear as well so im thinking of getting a wrecked doner rig with dana 60's i can fit up. who knowes. i was a jeep guy for years so im just taking some of the tricks i learned and applieing it to this tahoe
