Tahoe clicking noise

Hello all:
I have a 2001 Tahoe LT 4WD and it has a strange pulse, clicking noise some times when I am pulling out on to road and accelerating (turning right only). It only happens sometimes and it almost sounds like it is a rhythm ............ it goes away as a achieve speed (45MPH or higher). I just installed a new Tranny and am positive the Torque converter is torqued to the correct tightness.
Any Ideas?

Front CV axle or wheel hub faulting would be at the top of my list for diagnosis

I would be curious if you also felt the noise. In the floorboard under your feet or the passenger side if you have someone with you. When you hear it does it seem from the left or right side a and is it front or rear? As you are gaining speed does the noise increase or diminish till you get to the point where it goes away? I think, like chubbs said, it sounds like an axle because of the turning putting the joint in a bind but other info would help determine that.

The most important exercise you can do is lift the front up and check the wheel hubs for any play by grasping each tire at the top & bottom, attempting to move it back&forth of the hub. You do the same thing holding at 9:00 & 3:00 o'clock for tie rod diagnosis. It doesn't cost anything and will alert you of imminent danger. Other than that, it's true that more info would be of value to those offering their advice and suggestions.

If you haven't found it yet, check the transfer case fluid level. They have a tendency to develop a hole and leak out. Once it's low it will start making clicking noises.
