For gas saving I will recommend the convertion to propane. In Europe we have been using that for quate sametime now. The fuel economy is almost the same but propane price is half the price of the gasoline. At least here. I can say that the engine responce is better and the engine has more power. Also the propane does not leave carbon deposits in your engine and engine oil. In two words I am very happy. The convertion is really easy and the kit price is about 600 US$. The propane tank goes on the place where the spare tyre is, so it takes no internal space.

It would be ok for around town driving but the problem here would be the refill stations. They close early and most would have trouble getting off of work in time to get filled back up. It might work better for someone else but not for me.

I just need to say that after converting the car to run on propane, you can also run on gasoline. If you burn all your propane and you can't refill you just flip a switch on your dash and you are back to gasoline. Untill the next spot where you can fill up the propane tank.

This thread is horrible.

Myth-busters did an entire hour episode on fuel saving devices including this one and the (in)famous "Tornado" - which causes a swirling effect in your throttlebody which helps with air induction somehow. You know what their finding was? Every....single....one.............. was a crock of ****.

I can't wait for the "blah blah blah you believe everything you see on tv?"

Well I watched that episode of myth busters and I saw there mistakes before they ever tested the HHO cell they built. They need to redo there HHO trial and get a person that actually knows how to build a HHO fuel cell. As for the tornado I tried one and I did not have any gains. As for the HHO cell I know it does work. My neighbor has a 07' Kia Spectra that went from 36 mpg to 75 mpg average with this HHO kit. The kia has had this kit on it for about 2 months now and he has not seen the mileage drop below 71 mpg So I know that it works.

Ok so I just read this entire blog from start to finish,(funnier then S***). If one person belives that their kit will do this then lets see what it will do. On the other hand I agree with somethings that where said, longevity, price break down, and a few other conspriacy therieos mentioned. But there is just one thing I have to say and that is,If you don't like paying that much for gas then sell it. I know full well how much it cost to fill up and how far I can go, but I am ok with that fact because I bought the car. It's not like it was a surprise or anything!

I'm not against saving money at the pump, but like you I knew what I was buying before I bought it. I'm getting worse mileage than I had expected, but I expected to not get the same out of a 5500+lb truck with a 285hp V8.. that I did out of my 4-banger CR-V! (which never got the EPA mileage anyways) There's always a price to pay. If you want good gas mileage... the price to pay is a economy car (Civic, Prius, etc) that can't hold more than 2 adults (when you're 6'4"... won't even hold you...) Trust me... I know..
Civic002.jpg

Can I fit myself, wife, 2.5 year old, baby on the way, black lab, and camping gear in that? Heck no! I couldn't even do that in my CR-V... I had to rent a 4-door Silverado to go camping. There are prices to pay for everything. If that contraption can get me 30+mpg city... reliability and longetivity... for a decent price... I'd go for it. I have a hard time believing that with a "revolutionary" product like that... it hasn't taken hold of the market! I mean... Pokemon took the world by storm! With 3.50+ per gallon... you'd think this would too... if it were what it's cracked up to be.

I agree as well that if you can save money at the pump that would be awesom. But if you want 75mpg buy a motorcycle and drive the heck out of it. Save the hoe for when you need it.
Don't get me wrong there have been many times that I want to bend over next to the pump and start screaming rape, but again I bought the car. On another note I always try to stay out of the "how much it cost to fill up" conversations because I choose to drive such a freakin awesome car.

I even think that a pack of pokemon cards was $3.50, and it didn't stop people then.

Thanks for the comments fellas. The company Dutchman enterprises will be making an anoucment on Septemer 15 that a major auto manufature is going to join resources and most likely promout the HAFC program in there autos. This will most likely include the PICC program. I do not know the full scope of the Anouncment just know that there is going to be an anouncement made to the press on Sept.15. So I think this has caught on and the auto manufactures know it.

Well I discovered I have a bad CAT on the drivers side, so I can not tune it until the repairs are made. I will let you know how it goes after I replace the Cat and all 4 O2's they are $163.00 each from the OEM. I know I could get aftermarket, but I know better. The Aftermarket O2's do not work as well as the OEM O2's The CAT is like $485.00 OUCH there goes some more money.

The kit includes a Optomizer this device is what tunes the engine.

So you dont get to tune any of the tables yourself?

On Edit: I just got back from a work trip from Atlantic City. I had the Tahoe on cruise control 65-70MPH for the Expressway and was averaging 22-23MPG with AC on. This was a very flat road with ambient temps at 76-79*F.

If I can squeeze 22mpgs out of mine with a custom tune I will be a very happy camper.. I was sold just on the performance part of it. Hell, if I can get 1mpg more than I am now and get better performance I'll be good.. Where do I sign..

Stick with tried and trued..

It is obvious you do not understand what is being done here. This is called an Orange test. It is done at cruse on a open road and with as much control as can be maintained. When the Mods are done we will repeat the same test on the same road in the same manner and use the same gas pump as before. That way you eliminate as much error as possible. This is how the EPA does it as well. And for your information this same HAFC kit will be put into factory vehicals very soon. The Announcement will be made on Sept.15 I am not at liberty to say who the Auto manufacture will be but they are going to put Dutchman HAFC kits on there factory cars as an Option.

Til i see proof I'm calling BS on this one..

Yes you can tune the OPtomizer. The Optomizer addresses the Up stream O2s and helps the vehical lean out the mixture of gas and HHO. This is done so you use less gas. My truck is lifted 6" and has 315 tires on it and weighs 6200lbs so gas mileage was out the window before the HAFC kit.

As for the announcement that Dutchaman will be making in regards to the Auto manufacuter in concerns to the HAFC kits that will be made on Sept. 13 Saturday.
