10 pounds... You need more details... What Engine, What Gearing, 4wd or 2wd, etc.. I have a 2009 with a 3.08 rear end, 2wd, 5.3l engine and it is rated at 5000 pounds. You can look in the back of your owners manual it should be listed there. Your gearing can be found in your glove box RPO code...

Heater core is probably plugged up. Pull the heater hoses off (engine cold) and tie them back and up. Use a garden hose to flush one port then move to the other, then back, keep it up until it flows freely. Re attach hoses, refill coolant, test run.

Change the shocks out. BTW this is the 1994-1999 part of the forum. Z71's ride rougher because they are "off road" so to speak, also what kind of tires? Passenger on the old ones, 10 plys on the new one?

Nice... Don't tighten it up too much, you can/will grenade the steering gear.

Perhaps your wiring was in error? Did you use a module or install a load resistor? Can you post a picture of your wiring diagram you were working with.

No spark from Coil, Coil Wire, or Spark Plug Wire? What is a CPS? What was the exact Code? Don't trust Junkyard parts.

Sounds like maybe you got a over active pump or gear issue? I don't remember my '96 driving bad, my '98 I have now is a sloppy pig compared to what I remember of my '96.

What do you mean switchbacks? If you were changing the color of the dash lights, the needles are orange because the plastic is tinted that way.

You can get fuseable links at the parts store. My schematic shows the 20A horn fuse is where the reel lamp is fused, but it is for a newer truck. It also shows that the underhood light is fused and grounded the same.

Should not set idle manually, PCM controls that. Rapid depressing of the accelerator might be causing that due to the PCM relearning perhaps? It does cause a quick loss of manifold vacume. Might clean the MAF sensor. I left that bracket off mine, it supports the wire harness that goes over...
