Morning,
I have a 2007 Tahoe with 90K miles that is experiencing the same issue. Bought it new, so i know the history of the vehicle and no wrecks that might have injured the wiring. I need advice on this subject also.
Any info would help.
Thanks
I have a 2005 Yukon. For some reason the truck will just go into neutral while I'm driving on the xway, backing out of my driveway, or leaving a stop light. I then have to press the AWD button on my dashboard to get it going again. When I do, I hear a slight grinding noise and then a loud "thump"... When it goes into neutral, the 2WD light is still lit.... Once I'm going again I can push the 2WD button and it accepts it.. Any thoughts???
Anybody have a rough cost idea to rebuild an rear end on an 2002 tahoe ? And how can I read the vin to try and figure what my gear ratio is thanks
Can anyone help me? I have a 2007 Tahoe LTZ with the auto retracting running boards. They worked fine for years and all of a sudden they developed a hiccup on the drivers side only. It will come out when it wants and only when it wants. I've tried the procedure that unlocks them when they are delivered from the dealer but no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do besides getting going to the dealer?
New to the forum and was looking for a 2002 Escalade instrument cluster for my 2002 Tahoe. Anyone know of a place that sells them for a good price? And I was wondering if I need to have the mileage reprogramed if I were to get one.

New member with 08 LTZ, Autoride suspension. Looking at one of the front shocks leaking slightly. Not bad yet, but probably soon. Saw replacements at almost $500 EACH????? Also found a Monroe conversion kit online that replaces front shocks and keeps rear as self leveling air shocks. Any body have any experience with the Monroe kit? Total cost is $317 for front conversion shocks to passive suspension and rear air shocks for leveling when towing. I like the price and had Monroe air shocks on my 1969 Dodge Charger back in the day. Anybody done this conversion and is there a big difference in handling that would warrant staying with the full autoride suspension. I posted my question here, because I could not see how to start a new thread on this site? Need help please. Thank you.
Just Joined looking for new shocks for my Z71 Tahoe, what would people suggest for the already aftermarket Bilsteins that come on the truck. Replace them with a little bit better bilstein or something else?
I was changing my alternator the other day and when i put the knew one on my Tahoe ran rough so i put the old one back on and it ran fine then the other day i was putting in a new car stereo so I discontented the ground while doing so the when I was done I re-contented the ground and started it up and then my Tahoe ran rough again and still does when I come to a stop my car rpm drops to where its just about to die. is there anyone that has a answer that can help me?
My 2004 Tahoe recently failed emission inspection due to an intermittent check engine light. Sometimes the check engine icon comes on briefly then goes off, which I'm thinking this is what is supposed to happen. Other times it doesn't come on at all. I removed the instrument cluster but didn't see any problems with the bulb. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help.
