What am I looking at

Had a flat, dropped the spare, found this bad boy hanging out under my 05 tahoe. Part number doesnt return as a GM. I suspected maybe a CTS based on the size listed.. But its not a CTS fuel pump, theyre round and inside the gas tank.

What the heck is it

Looks like youre correct, its the evap canister, but, its supposed to have three hoses coming out of it. Mine only has two.. So, not sure. I have evap warnings.. I almost fail emissions..
