Replacement of the camshaft sensor on my 2007 Tahoe was supposed to be pretty easy. After removing serpentine belt it was no problem to access the sensor location. Removed the bolt from the sensor and then it would not come out. Tried for 2 hours. It would rotate and move in and out about a 1/4" but could not get it out. Finally had to break it into pieces (dangerous procedure)!!! New one went in without a problem. Don't understand why it would not come out. Thought maybe the plastic had expanded over time.

Just did mine same issue so I kinda just used a pair of vise grips and pulled while it turned but my problem now is that my truck has been doing crazy idling and actually said teduced engine power and would not move just a slow idle so I towed it home and it started the next morning with no problem I'm perplexed. Any answers to what it may be?, cause the code is 0016 but I changed sensor
