Want to hard wire mt valentine one to a switched output

Any idea where the best place to do this would be? I don't want it to continue to have power while the key is off.

2012 Tahoe LT with on-star and DVD (if those matter)

I am working on the same thing! I found a fuse in the left fusebox in the dash, wired up the V1 plug, and it worked for a while and then quit. I suspect the circuit is only 5 volts, so I am going to change it up. Here's a link to a writeup I found and plan on trying http://www.clubarmada.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13132

Its a pretty slick way to do it.
