I think it's ok. As long as you don't see it dropping lower when your subs are hitting. Then it's a problem.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but right after starting, you will see higher voltage because the alternator is trickle charging your battery from the start. Once the voltage in the battery reaches where it's supposed to, the alternator is no longer being double tasked and therefore output voltage is lower. It shouldn't drop below 12 though.

well my subs takes it down to about mid 13s to low 13s in some parts you just dont want it going under 12 even though its kinda bad on the alt.

i checked on my d3 and the voltage is at 14.3 and for some reason i thought the gauge looked lower than that.

The stock gauge is a reference. I say.

Just put your Voltmeter on the amp and see what voltage drops you get at it.

It takes more power the lower (Hz) you play.

Do the Big 3 it helps A LOT!

Looks good you just need a little more oil and a little more gas and you are set. But Mine does the same either at 14 or a little lower not much and the D3 says 14.3 or 14.5 when I start it.

actually it's not the Hz, the lower you play the more voltage it pulls, it's the lower impedence on the amplifier. Amps pull voltage, not subs.
