MANN i was wondering about that!!!! I thought i got screwed cause my hood had been replaced and painted or something and that's why it didn't have one. Thats really weak! I'm not sure what they were thinking!!!!!!

It isn't extremely bright but it does light up the engine bay fairly well, I'm sure you could retrofit one pretty easily

I have one in my denali, sh*t is burnt out and I've been too lazy to replace it. I miss the trouble light I had in my '89 c1500, I could wind it out 20ft or so to check my tires or fix a flat at night.

i'm going to be installing this same unit in mine, possibly with a bright LED or halogen bulb. i'll post pix when i do

I've got it! I'm gonna install neon strips in the engine compartment, and paint the underside of the hood with glow-in-the-dark paint.

I'll post a pic when it's done.
