I have a 98 Yukon and the transfer case is starting to leak a little bit. There are 97,000 miles on it and it still runs pretty strong. Anybody have thoughts on trying the transmission/transfer case STOP-LEAK stuff?? I have heard mixed feelings in it and want to know more about it. Any input would be a huge help. Thanks

i would replace the fluid and gasket before i tried stop leak. that stuff can gum everything up inside and make your problem worse. it was intended to be used only in an emergency just to get you to the repair shop.

an honest tranny shop should be able to change out the fluid and gasket for well under $100
