Trans Dipstick Removal

Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of removing my transmission from my 2001 Tahoe (with 5.3 engine). From what I have read I need to remove the transmission dipstick. Does anyone have a trick for removing it? I've been trying to pry it out with no success. Any advice would be appreciated.

it should be bolted somwhere along the tube line, after you get that off it should just pop out by wiggling it, but dont bend it too much or it could break or be difficult to put the dipstick back in

If its anything like a 96 suburban it has one of the bellhousing bolts run through it.
