tire question?

[95 Tahoe]

I hope this is in the right section. I finally cranked up the torsion bars on my 95 tahoe to level it out and i put some new shocks up front. I was wondering what is the biggest tire i can run. Also if anybody has run bfg mud terrain tires on their tahoe what did you think about them.

I ran BFG All-terrains that measured out to be about a 32.. - with 2" blocks in the back on 20" wheels.. - they were fine.. untill one night i went fourwheeling.. - the fronts ate the top of the fender (chunking out the tire) and the backs.. well they would have been just fine if the lift block hadn't broke causing the rear-end to shift and allowing the tire to eat the inside of the fender-well..

what does it mean to crank up the torsion bars. i want to put some bigger tires on my hoe but don't want to pay for a lift.

A friend of mine put 305 mud dawgs on with no problems, well except for a little road noise of course.
