My first post and it's of this!:mad2: I was rear ended this morning. My 3 year old was sitting on the 3rd row seat but other than being a little shaken up, she was fine. Same with my 2 month old. I was glad the Hoe held up and I was surprised the power liftgate still worked. Now the other car wasn't so lucky. The passenger had to be taken to the hospital and both the driver and rear passenger had some minor injuries. I had considered purchasing a compact car and leaving this more as a weekend car but after seeing how well it held up, my husband and I decided we would much rather pay the extra $$ on gas. I dropped the Hoe off at the shop already so we'll see how long it takes to get it back.

Unfortunate your first post had to be this. But at least everyone is ok. One of the reasons I drive a suv is because it makes me feel safer. Anyway, good to hear no one got hurt and welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard.......sorry about the mishap.
One mans grief is another mans gravy............I'm in the collision business 36 yrs. If you were in NY I could do right by you. I'm sure all will turn out OK.
Go through the other drivers liability coverage. They should pick up tab 100%and provide a rental for all down time. The Tahoe is a tank. Dont be surprised at what it can endure.

"The Tahoe is a tank." that's why I call it the urban assault vehicle.

just curious, in one pic it shows a passenger in the white car, Is she knocked out, or just letting it all sink in?

i wonder why only the driver airbag went off on their car.

I also hate to say it, they look like IA's. IE mexicans not supposed to be hear.

glad yall are ok and very happy to see how well the tahoe held up.

Were you stopped and she ran in to you at speed, or were you going slower and she ran in to you??

It looks to me like you slowed down to make a turn and she just ran right into you, good thing you drive a good solid American truck.

And just because I don't post every second of the day doesn't make me a troll. I like how you think the mistake you made was the misspelled word.

on Garden Grove and Fairview

Hope your tahoe gets repaired quickly and done right. Be carful who your insurance (or their insurance company) company chooses. Some are real slick and looking to make money . Make sure its taken to a place you trust, or to the dealer.

LOL Hate to say it, but I know the intersection where this happened and that gives his assumption a very high probability of being true. The deciding factor for believing them to be Illegals though is actually going to be if it turns out there was no license and/or insurance coverage, sadly enough. I have been hit and run by Illegals with no driving credentials; I've even had a drunken car load of 'em crash onto my front lawn when I was playing football there with my family on a Christmas morning.:nonod:

If you want to get mad at someone you should get mad at the Illegals who's prolific presence causes people to sometimes think in these terms.:cuss:

BTW, I didn't see tough guy in that, possible he was just trying to hash it out on the sidelines?:yesnod:

Now that you mentioned that, there is a scary part of Hispanic culture wher men see how drunk they can get and still operate a moter vehicle, so keep that pleasant fact in mind when driving around in SOCAL.

AMEN. I work in Santa Ana so where the accident happened is pretty close. I hate getting off the 5 FWY on any exit into Santa Ana and people not driving properly. Or especially driving slow thinking they're gonna avoid cops because they have no license.

Yeah the illegals are pretty easy to spot, they're the ones driving at least 15 MPH below the speed limit. It is pretty scary the mind set they have about drinking and driving, it is a totally different culture that has a very dangerous mind set. I often wonder how many people driving right now swhould not be behind the wheel. The main reason to drive a big ass Tahoe.

You live in the area so for you to make a statement like that is valid. He on the other hand lives nowhere near California and doesn't know the demographics of that particular area. It was an uniformed statement. On the tough guy thing, I've been on these forums for over a year (although hardly posting) and from reading some of his other post i have come to realize that for the most part he is a moron. Everyone else here I have come to enjoy reading your post and think that you all share valuable information. I apologize to the rest of the members for this and assure you this will be my last post the matter.
