wow, so if i decide to get some hids kits they WILL work with the aftermarket projector lights? the reason why im not sure is because the low beams on my projectos have a purplish tint on them. also how do the ballasts work, will one run all 6 lights: 2lows 2highs and 2fogs,or will there be 6 ballasts?

There will be Six ballasts. For your projectors to work you need to get the same bulb series as your projector.

can you elaborate? do you mean the same part #? ex: i have 9006 halogen bulbs for low beam. are you saying i have to get 9006 or 9005 hid kits for low and high beams?if so, i thought that was how they were all sold anyway.

got another question....on my projector lights i have halos, or angel eyes. ive tried hooking them up with the seperate wiring that came with the kit but for some strange reason they wouldnt work. can someone with halos take a pic of the wiring and send them to me or describe in detail what wires go where. the directions that came with the lights were a full page of no help or my halos were blown.(if thats possible)

enless you got a really great set of projectors, most use H1 bulbs, so you would need an H1 hid kit. Thats what i mean.

THe halos. I wired them in to my parking lights wo when ever the orange lights were on the halos were on.

Here is a pic of my old 06... HIDS ON These are my denali projectors with custom Halos.

You can connect them two ways. Splice in to them. Or you can do it the way i did. Cut the wires and put the live end in one end and put the two drawing ends of a butt crimp. then wrap around with electrical tape. Much better IMO.

Hello
I use to have 8k hid kit from McCulloch low beams and fog light on my Envoy and honestly you get what you pay for when it comes to lighting. I have been using HID for last 6 years or so and have been thru the cheap ebay to the more expensive. Ebay HID have really gotten better on quality.

PLUG AND PLAY FOR THE WIN

Come from china, you should get a dhl confirmation at some point but I'd say 5-12 days based on myself and other's experience.

I went ahead and ordered a VVME kit from ebay...hoping it doesnt take to long to ship here. I got my low beams with 6000k. I am going to wait on the fogs to see how I like the low beams (figure i use low beams more than fogs). By the way, where do u mount the balast for the fog lights?? On the bottom of the rad support or in a fender well or what? I live in MN, and dont want big snow banks knocking em out. (or dirt if I go off roading)

Thanks for all your help on kit selection and where to mount the lows...ya'll have been quite helpful.

Mounted the ballasts for my fogs on the upper part of the skid plate, might build some enclosures for them if the get nasty in the winter but they're fairly well protected from any debris and the skid provides a small amount of dampening for vibrations the truck encounters.

Mine took 4 days to arrive..

mine would have taken 4 days if dhl wouldn't have camped on them for so long. I had to go pick them up at the fvcking hub after they were sitting in Denver for three days.

I wish I could have used UPS. Every time a company uses DHL they always screw it up some how. Paid 50 bucks to have a 10 pound item shipped next day. Ordered it at 8 a.m. said to expect it next afternoon by 2 p.m. Great. next day Dhl does not show up. Call them and they say O were sorry. I said can I atleast get my money back. She said we dont offer that. I said but you screwed up (now she got defensive) and said sir we are not responcible if our packedges dont get there on time. I GET PISSED!!!! I said WHAT!!! YOUR THE GOD DAM SHIPPING COMPANY (yes i cussed, i dont think that helped) Anyway long story short. On the phone for 2 hours finally got a refund. But my item didnt get there until a week later. :cuss:

That was the worst one. I have had ones where they shipped it and gave it to the neighbor. They did that twice and I finally next time they came through had to explain to them that the next door house is Not my address, and my address is not his (took about 4 trys as well) But there is always a screw up with them. Im expecting the same thing to happen with this order.
