i have been thinking about taking the side molding off the doors(the pieces on the middle of the doors that has the chrome strips on it) and was wondering if anyone has done it on here and if so can you post some pics and let me know how it went. i know ppl have talked about it but i havent ever seen any pics. also are they as simple to take off as the badging, heat gun, dental floss, and goo gone? are their any pins or posts holding them on? thanks guys!!!

I have been wondering the same thing recently because mine doesn't seem to match the paint and looks darker than the rest of the truck now. I hope someone can jump in with some pics.

when I pulled mine off the paint was a slight shade lighter. I used a damp paper towel with laquer thinner and it evened out. Couldn't even tell

a quick compound and wax will take the fade difference away. i have completely removed all badges, running boards, luggage racks, etc. i am in the process of shaving the rear hatch right now, no handle, wiper, nothing. :)
