Hey guys...I found a good deal on a used 4l60 from a 2001 Blazer. Are the transmissions interchangeable? Also using the s10 converter seems to be a common swap. It stalls at around 2025. Anybody have any experience with this?

Yeah 4l60e sorry. Thanks for the reply. I'm going to attempt the swap next week. I'll let you guys know how it went.

It fits. It has the same problem my old trans has though just not as bad. 3-4 slippage only if i put my foot into it. I will probably just bite the bullet and get the old trans rebuild in the near future.

I'm not noticing any real difference that I can tell with the S10 converter in it.

Anybody on the fence in regards to attempting a trans swap. Just do it! Its actually not that hard. I did it in one day with a medium sized floor jack by myself. A tranny jack would have made it easier and way less sketchy though.

Also if you have trouble removing the neutral safety switch connectors you can just unbolt the whole thing from the trans case and leave it hanging. I broke the NSS connection pulling mine out.

Avoid removing the range switch from the transmission as it is calibrated to the transmission with an alignment jig. It being misaligned can cause a transmission to burn up....
