Newbie to the forum here. I searched for my particular problem, but didn't find anything specific.
Several weeks ago my rear A/C quit blowing cold air - it only blows hot, like scorching hot. I had read plenty online about the blend door actuators and so I took the inside trim panel off above the passage rear wheel. When I took the acuator motor closest to the rear off, the arm from the blend door came out with it. The actual blend door itself was broken. I tried super gluing it back together but I just made a mess and cut my hands up prying open the evaporator case to work inside.
I have the auto climate control and I have seen evaporator cases on line for about $70 which includes the doors inside, but my question is how hard is it to swap out the whole case? I can pull the heater out of the box (it has the two tubes running from under the truck). But before I order the replacement, I'd like to know if I'm getting in over my head or not.
Thanks for your help.
