About a month or two ago I purchased a 99 4dr tahoe with all power windows from my dad. He bought the tahoe brand new and one request he asked from the dealer was to get the rear windows set where they will only go about a fourth of the way down (to keep me from jumping out the back window when I was young). Is there anyway to get inside the door panel and make the window roll down more? Do ya'll think there is something on the regulator thats stopping it? Or is this even something I should attempt and let the dealership deal with? Thanks for any help!

haha are you sure u have a tahoe or suburban... ok go outside and look at your "tahoes" rear wheel well.. ok tell me if then if u try to roll down the window if it would hit that?? welll im pretty sure your dad never got anything done to make em go down a 1/4 or the way down.. and im pretty sure every tahoe is almost a 1/4 way down.. your windows cant go anywhere besides to stop unless u wanted it to ram into your wheel well or jsut the door itself.. unless u had some crazy package with your hoe, i dont think anything has been done to it.. post up some pics then ill tell ya for sure or not..

No I see what your getting at I didn't realize most all tahoes were the same way. My neighbor has a 97 Tahoe and his windows don't go ALL the way down but they go about halfway down straight from the factory. I popped the door panel off yesterday and found there was still plenty of room for the window to go down. There was nothing restricting the regulator though. My point is, I'm not a idiot, I knew the wheel well would keep the window from going all the way down.

check on the side of the door. on some models of vehicles, there is a switch where you can enable/disable child proof window. on when i say side of door, i'm meaning where the door meets the door jam, where the actual latch is for the door, opposite side of the hinges
