01 Denali, 85K miles.

recent "overboosted" steering feel. Very easy to turn wheel. No locking or jumpiness. No noises, PS fluid fine. No codes.

and this steering sensor sounds exactly like my symptoms...but that's a 99. The sensor part number only goes up to 00 models.

It there an equivalent steering sensor on my 01? What could this be? thanks.

It might be the fuse for the autoride if you have it. My rear shocks have been leaking and i pulled the fuse for now until I get it fixed. That fuse also seemed to affect the stearing and make it loose.

good point, but that fuse is fine any my autoride shocks still pump up.

however, a few weeks ago i got an autoride code, the compressors failed to run. that resolved after I restarted it. All fuses were fine. Steering boosted ever since.
