o2 sensor thrread size?

As usual simple job turned nightmare. Replacing o2 sensor on 96 Tahoe and the threads galled. Are they all a standard size? Do most auto stores sell a thread chaser for them? Thanks

Got the tool needed and the Job is complete.

get one of those double ended spark plug thread chasers...use the larger of the two sizes...same thread....been there, done that
