noise feedback from the onstar speaker

I have a 2004 Tahoe and I get an annoying feedback (whinning and static) from the onstar speaker in the headliner. Help!

Thats not a speaker i believe i have read somewhere that there is a fan in that area.if its actually coming from the car system then i would say its a bad ground.

I get that too! I thought it was a speaker... let me know what you find.
