Hi guys,

New member here and I am having an issue with my 2005 GMC Yukon. It seems like the back liftgate and rear window will not unlock. I have tried to manually press the unlock button on the driver side door panel as well as the wireless remote. Both methods have failed. All other doors lock and unlock successfully. Everytime I try to open both devices they act as they are locked. Do you guys know if there is some sort of reset options or ways that I can manually open the liftgate from inside my SUV? Any help will be appreciated.

I haven't looked in my Tahoe, but in my Jeep, if you take off the panel, there should be a selenoid that may have gone bed... get a multimeter up there

Thank you! Do you know where I can obtain a simple drawing about how to remove the panel with destroying it? I am notorious for trying to fix things and actually breaking them.

yup, a few plastic things that pop out and one bolt that comes out of the strap that's used to close door is what it looks like. the rest should pop off with a few pulls
