Hey everyone! Chris here and I'm new to the boards. I'm 22, live in Socal (909 area) I own a '06 Caddi STS, '82 Mustang 5.0 and a 2001 Ford SVT Lightning. I had a 2000 Mustang GT on nitrous but got wrecked. Anyways, pardon my newbness lol well my mom owns a 2002 Tahoe LT 4x4 with the autoride. I want to lower it if possible. I found a few kits, but none for this model. It has 22's and I'd like to "slam" it as much as possible.

Here are a few and only pics that I have of the Tahoe. That's my caddi! Thinking of trading her in for a new Silverado/Sierra.

Nice to see another young guy into the caddies. Great looking STS.

Never been a fan of the lowered/show truck look honestly. Lifted and big tires are what I prefer...but then again, I live in Colorado, which often times necessitates 4wd and big tires (ie - we just got 5" of fresh snow on May 1st)...I suppose that if I lived in SoCal, I might feel differently :). But, good luck finding the info you need here, I'm sure someone will chime in and point you in the right direction.

Thanks. The caddi is nice and all but I seriously have gotten bored with it. It ain't the best out there, but it gets some head turns. Since that pic was taken. I went and got some 2% tint all around. I want a the new silverado's or sierra bad! I love the new looks. I like lifted trucks as well, but I'd rather cruise low and slow or fast lol...I'm taken it easy now after my little accident with my mustang :(

I hear ya there man...crunching a car (and yourself) is never a fun experience. Kinda opens your eyes. I got into a bad one back in 2001. I agree about the new trucks, too. My dream vehicle right now is a black 08 Seirra 2500 Duramax extended cab short bed 4x4...but it costs me nearly $70 to fill the 'Yuke, and thats at $3.50 or so for mid-grade (I run 87 octane, which is mid-grade here...I'm from Ohio where 85 octane crap doesn't exist :ack:). I can't even fathom how much it would be for diesel. I just cant swing a diesel right now, as much as I'd love one.

Wait, $3.50 a gallon!?!??!?!?! You got it easy out there. Here in Cali we're just shy under 4 bucks for the lowest grade. You gotta pay to play. That's why the Lightning doesn't come out as much. That bish downs it like a two dollor hoe!

Welcome aboard. Nice truck. Which companies have you looked into so far for lowering? Check out Mcgaughy's, Belltech, and DJM. They make good kits for both autoride and non-autoride, 2wd, 4wd, etc.

Yeah, I'm sure that we'll catch up to you guys in the PRK by this summer. Gas is bound to exceed $4/gal soon. It's been creeping up for 3 weeks now. :mad2:

From those that you mentioned. I looked into both belltechs and DJM. With the 22's now, the rear keeps adjusting every now and then, more then when it had the stock wheels. I don't want to hear that buzzing sound every damn time.

(909) I used to live in Temecula/ Murrieta for about 2 years. It's nice down there. I heard that the area codes changed to 951 right after I moved. Anyways I have no info for you, I have the regular suspension in my Yukon. But I, like Yuke2k, am in to lifted trucks. It's going up, a little, on Wednesday with some 33s. I noticed today on my way to work that gas is up to $3.71 for regular 87 octane. Good thing I only drive 4 miles each way to work. I have been thinking about getting a street bike "for the mileage" :). Now is a good time to convince my Girlfriend and Mom that it is a wise decision. They would both die if I bought one.
