new muffler

I want to get just a flowmaster 40 series muffler and I was wondering the old one was just a few bolts from a hose clamp or would I have to cut the old out and weld the new one in.

Sorry I didn't realize it at the time but I accidently posted this in the 07+ section I a 2000 z71 with the 5.7 in it

u can either weld in a new one or use clamps. its up to. IMO i like it welded. but either way, youll just need a small section of pipe to put between the new muffler and old pipe to weld/clamp to.

You will have to cut the old one out though.
