And yes.....6spd. in the goat although if I had to do it all over again, it would be an auto....A LOT easier to launch at the track.

True. Autos are easier, but I've always raced manuals. Just takes a few passes to get the launch rpm just right. But I always set my cars up to run autox'ing, which is why I always run manuals. Being able to downshift and pull away from a tight corner real quick...bangin gears is half the fun:) What does your goat run?

That GTO is beautiful. It's exactly how I would want mine to look if I could buy one. And I wouldn't have anything but a 6-speed either :Chevy:

For Auto-x manuals are the only way to go. The IRS on the goat makes it a real pain to launch. So far the best I've gotten out of her was a 13.1 at 106 with a sh*tty 60' completely stock.

I hear you about launching a 6 speed. I had a lt1 Trans Am with an auto and that car would hook up really well. I think the best time I put down in Englishtown was a 13.4 with just a full exhaust and intake.

My Mustang is an auto as well, if I modded it a little I would probably be in the mid 13s.

Atleast the T/A had a solid rear.....The IRS in the goat helps it handle a bit better but it's definitely not your friend at the track...

I agree. I love watching some guys with new Corvettes, who throw drag slicks on stock cars and blow out the IRS.

Where do you usually run? Englishtown?

That is odd.. I've been going to the local track here in Memphis and to National Corvette Homecoming for the last 10 years and watch vettes run all the time and the IRS seems to hold up fine.

I don't mind at all....I was wondering when a mod was going to do that...lol I screwed up the first time and realized I posted in the wrong section then couldn't figure out how to delete it. Thanks!

Lol....I'm sure the vette cures your "hunger" just fine.

Yea, it is alot of fun to drive.. I showed it for 3 years and it was mine. My wife had a 1996 Corvette and we sold it a few months back. My 04 became hers and that allowed me to sell my old Tahoe and get a new one. I had got to the point I didn't have time to show as much and the 04 only had 1,600 miles on it when she started driving it a few months back.
