They were very upfront about that. Right front impact with no airbag deployment and it was driven away from the scene. I mainly need something to tow my bass boat.

Looks like a nice Tahoe.

Personally, I do not trust Car Fax. It's only as good as what is entered. For example, if a car is involved in a collision and the driver does not report it to his/her insurance company and no papers are filed with your specific Department of Motor Vehicles, there is no paper trail for Car Fax to enter.

Although that sales representative may appear to be on the "up and up," don't take it as gospel.

I would go over any used vehicle with a fine tooth comb. Specifically, crawl under the car and see if there is any frame damage or suspension damage that looks like it has been repaired.

Drive the vehicle and see if it tracks straight and the brakes work properly. Inspect all the fluids, oil, coolant, transmission, brake fluid, and make sure they appear to be the appropriate colors.

Check every knob and electrical component to make sure it is working.

If you can, drive the car and night with the lights on to make sure the alternator is charging correctly.

I test drove my '08 Tahoe at night and found that the lights were flickering and told the sales guy it was probably the alternator. Sure as heck, when they tested it, the alternator needed replacing.

Just my .02 cents
