What is the best lift for Z71?
Im thinking either rancho quicklift, 4", or 6"
I am only concerned about the tires on the 4" the 33s look too small to me but i think they would look good with the quicklift but i want a little more lift maybe
Also can anyone explain the quicklift to me and how much it cost?
Any other recomendation would be nice too
Finally something I can answer!
I have a Rancho 4 inch suspension lift with rancho 9000XL shocks.
I owned my tahoe for almost a year before I picked a lift kit during that time I researched all the brands and different types of lift. Rancho is probably the best kit out there hands down. ** Stay away from leveling kits and body lifts i.e. tuff country, skyjacker, etc. these kit will give you headaches**. another reason why I went with rancho was becuase bigger is not always better (4inch vs 6in). Personally I dont like "monster trucks" in my opinion they look stupid and are not very safe. (Excurision with 44's)
with the rancho 4 inch lift you can fit up to 35's (34.8) inch tires or 315/70/17 (34.4?) or 305/65/18 (33.7inch). the most important part are going to be the wheels, 5.5 inch max backspacing anything more that and it will rub (33 inch tires look fine).
the rancho quicklift is also a good option if you don't want to drop $2-3K on a lift kit. the way the quicklift works is that it replaces the front stock shock and mounts the OEM coil higher about 2 inches up on the rancho shock giving it the "quick lift" . I think this is a good opiton if you dont want a real lift. you probabaly spend about $400 ($179 ea plus shipping) for the quicklift, about 2-3 hours of labor ( $80 X 3 Hrs= $240) alignment $80 estimated total $ 720.
I have use the rancho (4inch lift) on 27 other 2007 tahoes and to this date I have had no problems. Knock on wood.
They are other tahoe owners on this forum with different brand lifts who many want to chime in...
