Umm, no, thats terrible for any leather seat.

i've had numerous cars go well beyond 50k without the leather cracking. any american car is going to have crappy leather, though. GM's just seems to be worse than the competition.

Some GM leather USED to be good. The leather in my Cadillac Fleetwood is a league better than the Tahoe. There's nothing that Cadillac offers now that is even remotely as good - I paid particular attention at the auto show here last month. Even the Mercedes S-class on the floor had that perforated leather stuff - and I'm not sure how I feel about that...

+1, my 86 fleetwood has almost 150k miles on it and the leather is in AWSOME condition. i wish gm still used leather like that, but the leather in my yukon is better than our 02 lincoln continental.

I have a '02 Yukon XL Denali that has leather and the almost 100K mile leather is in excellent shape, not perfect but in great shape. Not every GM has bad leather I guess, but maybe I am the only lucky one!!;)

90K miles on mine and aside from the normal wear, my leather is in great shape. No tears, rips, cracks, etc. GM's leather isn't the best, but it isn't that bad either. You just have to maintain it properly.
GTO, any word on the Butler's yet?
