Hello to all,
I am French and I want to buy a 2-door Tahoe 1998 petrol.
the seller has removed the rear axle for it is not 4WD, supposedly because the Tahoe is a permanent 4x4 and it uses more fuel.
I would like your opinion of it.
the automatic transmission is broken and must be replaced and the rear brakes because the former owner was towing heavy.
Is that what you think this is normal?
I thank you in advance for the answers you give me.

Sounds like too many problems. I would avoid that one.

thanks for your answer amtronic1. that's what I was thinking of but it is an attractively priced and it's been several years that I dream to ride in tahoe or suburban (but this one is too big for our French taxes). what a pity!

It would have to be very cheap to offset the costs of replacing the axle and transmission. And I believe the poor mileage would be a major expense for you.
