I know man! I think some folks need to get out more!!! It's like "Give the guy a break", right?!?

Relax Getwired. Looks like you have ALOT more posts then the people you are telling to get out more. We all saw the pictures in the original thread but we wanted to see the installed picture from his I-phone he spoke of, but it wasn't to be found. I saw his cleared corners on his white Denali months and months ago and couldn't get a response on how he did it, so I feel like I have been waiting forever.

PatrykKroul, now that I have seen your write up on your Black Denali I am thoroughly impressed and apolgize for my impatience. Your instructions are top notch! This is the most useful information I have found on this forum. Sorry, and thanks again!

Best looking Denali I have seen hands down. Thanks for the updated pics, I was wondering if I was going to get to see them. I am so ready to do this mod on mine now. Are you going to leave the rear lights red, or tint them? I know they are Esky's but I think taking the red off of the back would make it look sweet. I dig the two tone with the black and the chrome. Good job on one killer ride.

A quick question on your grill, did you get it sand blasted and powder coated or did you just spray it yourself? I have been wanting to get a denali grill and make it black, I just didn't know how. I like the way boostaholics looks.

I like this grill from Denaligrill.com and I wouldn't have to paint it. I will probably go this route if I can't find a cheap used Denali grill.

Thanks guys. I sanded the whole grill myself with 220 grit paper. It took a long time cause I had to do the inside of every punch hole. The chrome is tuff, cause you have to really really make sure that it's scuffed down every where or the paint won't stick. Then I used 3 coats of etching primer, 3 coats of black, and 3 coats of clear. I did the lower denali grill too, incase you didn't notice.

Man... That's a lot of work. You must really love your truck!

I do too, but not like you. Shows commitment and the truck shows it.

No wonder your truck looks so nice.

You can get a special primer from your auto body store for chrome that doesn't require sanding.

i believe that is the same primer i used, etching primer. The paint will stick to chrome without sanding, but I know it will chip and flake off really easy.

Hey,
I have a white 07 Yukon XL Denali. Should i paint the lights and my grille white? I saw it on a yukon xl with denali grille and they painted it white and it looked pretty kool. any opinions whether i should do it or not? Also, has anyone painted their grill white yet?

I saw a white denali on ebay with a white grill. I painted mine black, it's a pain in the @$$. It was really hard to sand all the chrome in every punch hole.
