Yup VVME. Had them in my jeep before I sold it. So they are about 4 months old, no issues.

I like the idea. How fast to they switch to highs? I wouldn't mind this option if they last at least a year. Replacing the bulb yearly would be the price I would pay to have high/low lights.

The switch between high and low is as fast as stock. I have no doubts about the bulbs lasting. If they don't though, I guess the lifetime warranty should cover failure.

Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures of my installation. If I decide to swap out my 6000k bulbs for 4500k or 5000k bulbs I will take some.

Today I had Klight slim 8000k HID's installed in my 07 Yukon. They have a blue tint but not to the point where they look fake or cheap. If I ever burn out a bulb I'll probably switch to 6000k. I also installed matching dome, map and license plate lights (bulbs). Now they all are white instead of yellow :cool2:

Reccommended. I had one on my 06. But you dont NEED one per say. But I would get one, they have them avail from the 55w company. I think only an extra 15 bucks or so.

All you need is the relay harness for 55W and nothing for 35W.
No Bow-3 for Tahoes, they wouldn't send any error message either way.

I have the DDM hi/lo H13 set in my 07 Denali and they work great.

I just realized that DDM is right by me in San Diego. Guess I will be swinging by there this week.

thats so awsome to have a store so close. I wish I did.

But My tips are, take your time, do it right, dont stop until YOUR HAPPY. O yea and you will get frustrated, angry, and if your anything like me, throw a tool or to across the garage.

Im sure its warm where you are, drink plenty of beer to keep you calm, and ENJOY YOUR HIDS!!!

I just got back from DDM. Picked up a kit.

Any tips before I start installing?

I personally recommend removing the entire front end for MUCH easier access. This way you can wire tie everything neatly. I attached my relay box to the side of the radiator support and routed my battery cable up through the stock harness. Since yours is a Hybrid it may be a little different than mine.

Put some thought into the orientation of connectors to minimize water exposure and the possibility of standing water.

I put small bag over the unused left side stock headlight connector to prevent debris and water from ruining it for future use. Only the right side connector is used to signal the relay.

Finally, don't touch the bulbs. :gy:

Thanks I started another thread with a few pics.

But I think I have them installed wrong. The Hi/Lo won't work correctly.

You're not advised to leave the automatice headlight -on feature for any HID kit brand but its all about preference and what one likes or not. Some leave them on, some disable them

how can you kill the auto headlight on a tahoe with that feature? ive been dyin to find that out. i have to twist the knob to the OFF position before i turn on the ignition.

1. Actully 55w use less power once lit, and both the 35W and 55W kit use 6 amps to turn on. So no worrys really. 6 in 1 half dozen in the other, if you will.

I never thought to go with 55w. Can our housing handle it??

should, other wise it would melt with your stock bulbs. 55w lows and 65w highs.
