Well Im new to the Yukon/Tahoe ownership and I love it. My mom had one when I was back in highschool and I fell in love with it so now that I could afford one, I got an 01 Yukon SLT with 85K on it. My only issue with it though is that when Im turning real sharp, like in a parking lot or something, it will sort of clunk around a bit. Does anybody know what this might be? Thanks in advance!!

By clunk around do you mean the whole vehicle will move or just a popping noise coming from the front end?

Just from the front end. Probably should have clarified that before

my first opinion is two things.....

1) CV boots are bad...

2) is yout "auto" for wheel drive on? If so, disengauge that and never use it... what happens is, in a sharp turn the 4wd will kick in and out and in and out

Just to clarify for newbies searching, that is called gear binding and its not going in and out, Its being caused by the wheels moving at different speeds during a turn while the power is being sent equaly to all 4 wheels, which causes the gears to bind. Very bad and will do harm if done often. Again not knocking you, just going in to more detail.

Im having the same problem with the silvi. The dealer is even the dealer is stumped, iTs not in 4x4, the ball joints are fine, LOL. It just makes a wierd noise on a turn. Im betting its somthing simple like the e-brake or somthing sticking.
