Found this forum a couple of years ago while Googling some Tahoe issues, and this seems to be a really good place for getting and sharing info. 
Just got myself a 2010 Tahoe LTZ Hybrid, replacing my trusty 2001 LT, and look forward to at least some fuel savings over the next years.
And yes, gas prices here in Norway are about 3 times what you have in the US, as well as the price of cars, so one have to be a diehard dedicated enthusiast (insane, in other words) here to tolerate this ;-)
