Fuel pressure regulator?

i have a '96 tahoe 5.7L about 190k miles. got it back in october since then i have changed the plugs and wires, fuel filter, starter (fastest starter replacement in my life), fuel pump about 4 months after the filter (have checked the flow of the filter by blowing threw it).

ok so i think my problem is the fuel pressure reg. it idles rough when i put it in drive or reverse the engine drops from 1k rpms to about 500 rpms and only shifts when i let of the gas all this started after i replaced the fuel pump. the truck just seems to have NO horsepower stuggles to get up to 55+ mph.

not sure if the misfire ones went away after plugs and wires i dont even remember disconnecting the battery

please help me cant afford to throw parts at and need the truck running dont want to give up on it but getting there please help me save my truck

also forgot to mention the truck shakes when at high rpms

What is your fuel pressure? What does vacume look like? Have you checked the converter?

LESTERL...by converter, are you refering to the catalytic converter???? i was just looking for some advice on the life span for those things. my 99 tahoe starts and idles fine. when i really try to put my foot in the throttle its really hesitant and rough to accelerate. Might this be my problem. My tahoe has 187,000 miles on it and to my knowledge is running the original converter. also, i don't live in an inspection state and im considering removing the converers completely. what problems would this cause me
