Finally happened. My 'hoe got hit today!!

Yep. It happened in a parking lot today. Just as I was turning right into a parking spot, the truck behind me kept going and hit the side of my truck. Damaged the rear passenger door and part of the rear quarter between the door and rear wheel well. AND, hit my rear wheel. Luckily, the paint from the other truck on my wheel rubbed off and only very light surface scratches are on the lip.
But the bad thing.... she had no license or insurance!!!!!:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: She couldn't speak English. And when I mentioned Police, she cried " No Policia! No Policia!" I knew right then and there she didn't have insurance. Sure enough, she didn't. Luckily I have full coverage just in case this were to happen. Just sucks. Now I have to drop my truck off to a body shop and be without my truck for probably a week or so. And even worse, I have to somehow share a car with my wife because i have my other car in my garage getting a motor swap. My wife and I work on completely opposite sides of the city, so that's going to be tough. What a crappy day. What a crappy week it's going to be.
Oh, and to top it all off, she got away with no ticket or anything. Because it happened in a parking lot on private property (business property owner's), the police could not do anything!! So she got to drive off scott-free:cuss: :mad2: :cuss: Cops said I have to deal with my insurance company or go to civil court.
Anyway, sorry so long. I needed to vent.

man that SUCKS, im so protective of my yukon, i park where nobody parks, or next to other yukons who hopefully appreciate theirs enough to not to hit mine, how was she even alowed to drive off the lot with no licence, if i was cought driving with out a licence i would probably go to jail or not be able to get a licence for a while. im sorry that happend to you :cryin: :cryin: :mad2: that would Pi$$ me off so bad. i would go to civil court, you have a VERY good case, the lady driving probably was not even a us citizen , with no green card, here it is illeagle to NOT have insurance, much less no licence.

:nonod: The truck she was driving wasn't even in her name. Supposedly she was making payments to the people whose name was on the EXPIRED insurance card that was in the vehicle. It's illegal not to have insurance or license here as well. Too bad there's a law here that prevents traffic citations on private property.

for someone who had probably never driven they should have started her in an aveo or somthing equally as small, what kinda truck??

with laws like that, if i was mad at someone i could go over with the yukon and ram their car in their drive way and get away with it. man that sucks

Sorry to hear that JK, no matter how hard you try to protect your ride, it happens.

My wife thankfully parks away from shopping carts/cart park areas, other cars and if she has to, parks near an upper class car.

Thanks. I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Just seems like it's Murphy's Law that if you have a nice ride, it's going to get at least a ding or scratch sometime. I just wish it was more along the lines of a buffable scratch

Your trucks so bad ass:cuss::cuss::cuss:I've driven my old 98 chevy silverado since I was sixteen.. now i'm gonna be chilled and try not to talk too much shat about these Fu(king IA's!!! BUT I had to fix that truck three times because of people with no insurance. two out of three were IA's:fu: !!! the first ****er walked away with out any tickets and drove off cause the officers didn't feel like doing the paperwork at 4am i'm sure. Can't forget to mention the MF"r was DRUNK!!!(cost me $800 dollars for a new grille, every front light,driver side fender, and to repaint my hood!!) second one, same story.. DRUNK Mutha F'r. except this time he had a half empty cooler of beer with him.. and all they did was tow his POS!! (Cost me 1200 to do the entire front again, along with some extras..Radiator,bumper brackets, bumper, etc.)) now on both of these, i talked to lawyers (one who actually witnesed the second wreck) and it ends up being something that would drag out too long in a civil court and you probably wouldn't get your money back after paying lawyers and court cost because the immigrant who hit you doesn't have a d@mn thing in his name worth a penny more than your rims!(((($HIT's WEAK)))) I'm really sorry man!! I don't know what you can do as the law is in their favor, they don't have to pay, they cant get deported, so you're only choice is to suck it up and pay out of pocket.

No offence to any one, but I am a 1st generation Mexican American, but when I saw some of the comment on this thread I could not help my self, I live in Houston also, and I agree with ZEOKTER :thumbsup: this should not be an illegal alien issue, because my dads old 93 suburban got hit from the back, going 70 mph, buy a rich white, daddies lil boy and he did not have insurance and was coming from a prom after party so im pretty sure he was waited, we called the cops but they just called his dad, any ways his lil ricer rocket got jaked up!!!!!!:fu: :smilielol: But the burban only got minor dings on bumper and rear door, they did pay us cash got it fixed but a week or so later the trany broke down and the mechanic said it was cuz of the hard impact that knocked it loose and caused it to brake down, we tried to tell them they needed to pay for it but the previous damage all ready had been paid for so nothing we could do about it but to shell out 1,500 for a new trany, so im not going to call this a rich WHITE boy who got away from going to jail, and screwing us over case, im just going to call this stupid rich lil punk getting away from going to jail, and screwing us over case, cuz its not that we are illegal or legal in some case, their just some stupid people who should not be driving, and this applies to all colors(espesialy for the cant drive for **** yellow!!!!!!! Sorry jk... I can only imagin just how pist off you must be. I cant understand how somone can just get out of that. She was obviously driveing with no insurence, or licence..... I dont know about in CA, but what I learned about law enforcement, both of those are pritty large offences (damn spelling, sorry). IMO you should go to cival court.
