Evap code reset?

Had a evap code in tahoe and cant reset engine light now. Fixed the prob. Disconnected battery terminal - and didnt help. Any ways to reset this? Thanks.

My evap code reset on it's own after I fixed the problem. I think it takes 3 or so full cycles (start, drive, warm up, etc).

That would be cool but its already been past that point. Thought there would be some silly way to do it but maybe not.

You need to leave the battery disconnected for at least 15 mins and it should reset.

Then it's possible that the computer is still not happy. When I got an evap code I found a wire harness not connected to the purge unit under the truck and reconnected it. Light stayed on. Turns out I also had to repair the vent solenoid behind the gas tank.

After that it was happy and the light went out.
