How does a solenoid charge both batteries when the alternator is plugged into only one battery?

the batteries will be wired parallel and the selonoid is like a light switch
it will be inline of the aux batt .

so when you start the truck the selonoid engages letting the alt charge the aux
batt then with the key off the selonoid disengages and the batts are not connected
to each other meaning they won't drain each other.

He's absolutely right & this is the best way to run dual batteries.

thank you:thumbsup: i would go on ebay to get it stinger makes it.

i put one a my friend race car with the aux batt . he has electric fans
on it and it wouldn't start after he drives it because the fans runs
a little longer when he turns the car off draining the batt.

he has no prob starting it now.

Just bought the stinger on ebay yesterday. Shipped today. Can't wait to get it and just do it. I'm doing a bunch of things to my hoe this month and am not driving it until it's done, plus it doesn't have any seats so that makes it hard to drive ;)
