You can custom mount your ac controls in the slot below where they are now and then you can mount a double din in there. You can make a plate for your ac controls out of a thick matte board, that is what we did in my buddys 96. Sorry I dont have any pics to help you more.

I would say also post this in the 94-99 section or ask a mod to move it for you. Because this is the 2k7+ section and alot of people just head straight to their year. Pretty sure the guys with your year may have a solution.
