I was running some wires and took off the (inside) interior column panel just behind the driver side passenger's seat (just to the rear of the passenger door where the seat belt goes inside) on my 97 Tahoe. There is a little circuit board (didn't think to look at wire colors or number of wires before I put the panel back on) that's attached to the support post.

(I may have to take the panel off again just to satisfy my curiosity!)

The only thing I can find reference to in the service manual is a door lock control module. Manual says it's behind a panel forward of left rear wheel well.

So, is "left" when you are sitting in the driver's seat? And could this control board be the lock control module?

Thanks
Jerry

Driver side is considered left, passenger side is right. The door lock module on most of these body style trucks are located in the lower c pillar area, so that's probably what you are looking at.

Thanks! Looking at the various schematics, the only one I couldn't easily locate was the control board. It has six wires, so I believe that's the animal.

Thanks!
