Not a Tahoe, but my 08 Yukon SLT was $48K sticker. With all discounts came to $36K. Traded in my enimic H3 and they gave $20K on trade. I just had to 'walk-out' three times before they gave me all that I wanted.

I am also looking at purchasing a 4x4 Tahoe with the Employee Discount and the $5k rebates. Any feedback on the Hybrid Tahoe’s to date? I have some concerns with the 3.08 axle ratio and not being able to jump start the Hybrid as I would be using the vehicle for outdoor recreational activities. Resale value with the batteries is also a concern.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Second editorial piece in the recent C&D states it takes almost 7 years I think to reach the break even point on fuel savings.

Looks like people have been getting some good prices with this current employee discount. I just bought my Tahoe yesterday. It's a LT3 model with every option but NAV. After employee pricing and the 5K off, I walked out paying $37,999. I also got an additional $500 off because I knew the guy wanted to make a sale since he told me my deal would qualify him for getting a bonus this month. So I said I wanted $500 less than another dealer was offering. It worked! :)

Do you know what trim level they used to compare to the hybrid? The reason I ask is I hear all the time that it takes x amount of years to make up the difference on say a Camry Hybrid to a regular Camry . The thing is they are comparing the hybrids price to a base model Camry when the hybrid Camry like many other hybrids come nicely equipped. I think if they compared the hybrid with a similarly equipped model the price difference wouldn't be that huge.
