Brake Pad Replacement

I have a 2000 Yukon SLT on which I need to replace the rear disc brake pads. Anyone know of a tech bulletin or site that could provide this novice with the do's/don'ts of the procedure?

Its simple to do just take the wheel off and theres only like 2 bolts to take off on the caliper. All you will need if i remember is a socket wrench and a regular wrench to hold the nut behind. (the nut isnt like a regular nut in a hex shape its round with 2 flattened sides)There arent any long bolts like the typical disk brakes. Thats all I can remember from when I did them but hopefully this will help.

Be sure you maintain/renew the sliding hardware for reliable, long-wearing brakes. After removing the caliper as GORDO describes, remove the "slider pins" (round heads with two flats) by twising and pullin out of the small boots. These should move smoothly and be greased with silicone brake grease. Be sure the boots are in good condition also.
