Hello everyone.
I have a big problem.

When ever i press the brake pedal, the brake lights do not turn on.
All other lights, blinkers, day lights, 4 way lights work but not the brake lights.
I have checked all light bulbs, the fuses and the brake circuit in the back of the truck where the lights are.
Does any one have any suggestions?

Resolved.

Here is what I did.

Replaced the fuse, Bulbs, Circuit board and switch.
While i was replacing the switch, i removed the 1 foot wire harnest that was attached to the swtich as well since it was easier to get to and noticed a broken white wire on the harnest. I sordered the cable and tested the brake lights.
Bingo. Problem resolved.

brake light problems

Hi,
My upper brake lights work, but not the lower. Fuses, bulbs, and circuits are ok. The mechanic working with me, thinks it may be in the brake switch located in the steering column. When lights are on or turn signals used both brake light turn on like the hazard lights. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Also, the parking brake light does not show up when on. This is on a Tahoe 2000 Thanks.
