'BOSS wheels' ???

anyone have any experiences with these wheels? they are really cheap but i know cheap isnt good and good isnt cheap but is these are tempting...anyone know anything about these? i dont want to ride on poor quality wheels...

Any other problems? I was interested in the new 330 size 24 but I don't want chrome. I want silver so I can have them powdercoated later.

if thats what your doing then buy them...a wheel is a wheel unless its a 3 piece, so buy the boss and get them sand blasted and then powder coated!!! great idea

I've got the Boss 313's in 20's. I've had them for about a year now...no flaking yet, but starting to get a few small spots of pitting/rust. I'm assuming it's from the salt over the winter. I put some wheel sealant on before this winter, but apparently didn't help much. Is this a common problem or are they just cheap rims?

It's not real bad yet, you have to look pretty close to see the pitting. I assume that it will just get worse over time though. Can the chrome plating be blasted off and then powder coated?

Do you guys know of anyone/anyplace that could probably get a rim raw (no paint) a little cheaper and then I could have them powder coated instead of paying for the coating of paint or whatever they use and then repaying to have the recoated. Or is this even possible?

Yeah it will be a boyd cottington wheel.....major money though, and the bolt pattern will not be drilled

I had Boss 304s and the chrome started pitting within eight months. Then they started to peal very soon after. I got lucky they where still under warranty, but still very cheap quality chrome.

so i guess they are that cheap for a reason...i was looking at a black finish with chrome lip but now im having second thoughts

I have black 330's and I love them.... can't speak for the chrome though

I get some minor rubbing in some situations with the 30mm offset but nothing major. I was thinking of lowering but not sure since I rub at stock height. Love the wheels, though. The lip is polished not chrome so the chrome issues mentioned earlier shouldn't matter. I'll try to get some more pics up tomorrow

I used VHT Nite-shades that I ordered from Summit Racing http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=VHT-SP999&N=700+115&autoview=sku
Just make sure you do some sanding with 800 grit sandpaper before you start and between coats so that you get a good shine instead of a flat look. I also clear it with a clear gloss when I'm done. I use this stuff on all my cars and motorcycles and it's great stuff. Good luck!
