yes yes i know every ones saying not another one. HAHa but i have a very strange prob. first off my BABY is a 2000 4wd Hoe. Beautifull green with black accents. set up on some 180`s. So my heat stopped working about a year ago and intermitendly it would blow heat when ac was on. Of course i did my home work and learned heater core needed flushing and accuator needed replacing of which i did. Heat works great now! but wait heres the kicker. I recalibrated using the disconect the battery method. Well when i put it on heat its cold n visversa. but it gets better. It will only move all the way eaither way. i cant blend it to make (warm) air. it eaither full cold or full hot. please guys ya gotta help me

You need to find someone that has the tech II scanner. that is the scanner for the GM techs. this scanner will recalibrate the correct way. not any scanner will work. and disconnecting the batter needless to say is a 50/50 shot whether it will work or not.

@MD so your baby sits on 180s.. cool... so what exactly are you looking to do to fix it.. you plan on doing it yourself and dishing out little as possible to get it done... or just trying to get some information on the problem so when you get it fixed you have an idea on what to expect ? I ask only so we know how to help out.. Samotahoe has a great suggestion getting the actuators recalibrated or just replace the actuator which will turn out to be the same amount pending on the level of quality of repairs and or parts you decide to go with.. After all she is a beatiful green with black accents and sits I n 180s right.. there are a few options for you to take to fix this

yeah i bout a new blend door accutator and flushed the heater core my self. I put the blend door accuator on and it was working backwards as in i turn it to cold and it blows hot i turn it to hot and it blows cold. Also there is no blend as in i turn it to between hot and cold and the acctuator doesnt move till the temp knob is turned all the way. I took her to my mech and he tried to calibrate it but because its a manule temp control he said there wasnt anything else to do. I call 1Aauto and they found the problem they had sent the wrong acctuator. Apparnetly the 5.7 and 5.3 use diffrent accuators. They sent me the one for a 5.7 auto air. I needed the 5.3 manule. So it should be here in the next day or so. ill let u guys know. Also mine girl is 4x4 and a beast on dirt!!!

ok after talking with 1Aauto several times we think we have the problem solved. First let me say 1Aauto customer service is outstanding. I will return as a customer. Guys if you want some one willing to help you call these guys. Now onto the issue. If a moderator is reading this i do ask that you make a sticky of what im about to say. When it comes to these acutators and which one is the one you need. Call a GM dealer and get the original part number and 1A will cross reffrence and get the one you need. Its due to arrive today so i will let you guys know for sure if it fixes my problem.
