I have an 07 Denali with a 6.2 6spd, and I never drive on the freeway. It's all in-town driving, and I have an intake, 24s and a heavy foot, I like the torque so I floor it alot. It says I average 11mpg
how does that bueaty run?
Where, cause i've been waiting on the 6 speed auto, all gm full size vehicle will be outstanding with the 6-speed auto in them. i really don't know what the hold up is getting this done.

from what I under stand:
Your typical 4x4 tahoes cannot be bought with a 6 speed (yet..)
there are a few 2wd tahoes with the 6 speed (late 08 only)
GMC's and Cadalacs are available with the 6.2L and a 6 speed AWD
2009 tahoes will have a 6 speed standard with the OPTION of either a 5.3L OR a 6.2 (this is what I am told about the future and has not actually happened yet...)
I just got some "confidential" info from my dealer today about 2009's. I'll post it in a new thread to avoid a hijack.
hope this clears it up.
I have a Yukon XL Denali with the 6.2L & 6 speed AWD (obviously) w/ 22's, CAI and a Superchips Flashpaq. I always have my foot in it and I get 12.5 to 13 mpg in city driving. I just took a nearly 4K mile road trip and got 16 mpg driving from Seattle to Phoenix via the Utah route (pretty hilly) averaging at least 10 mph over the speed limit. Driving from Phoenix back to Seattle I had my new toy in tow (Chrysler 300 SRT8) and averaged 11 mpg via the California route. If I obeyed the speed limit and avoided hard acceleration, those numbers could be alot better, but it's hard to go the speed limit with a wife, 2 kids, and a new bulldog puppy (who couldn't stop farting the whole time) on a 22 hour one way trip.
