a problem with my car warranty date!!

hello everybody...
Iam from Saudi Arabia and I have a problem with my Yukon SLT 2007 warranty date..I've bought the car in 23-7-2007 , but I dicovered by chance
while iam taking the car to the dealer to fix a small problem that the warranty date started in 17-12-2006..and I talked to them they said OK ..We will do the Maintenance for40,000 KM = 24854 mile for free ..but I refused ..and I talked to GM middle east ( DUBAI) and now more than 3 months GM phone the dealer and me, but no way... I asked them to write a paper for the missing 7 months warranty ....pls help what can I do?

If it was a dealer demo unit, the warranty starts when the put it into use as a demo and there is nothing you can do about that. That is why dealers discount demo units.

Sometimes they "forget" to tell you that stuff.

No my friend it was not a demo. and they didn't make any discount....
also they said it is a mistake..

You just have to keep making noise until you get what you want. I believe they will have to fix it for you in this case, as you have proof of the in service date. Just keep on them and don't let it go. There is no way I would trade the last 6 months of warranty for some free maintenance work. Maybe the first 6 months...

Yes ..thats what Iam doing ...I phoned Dubai weekly and GM also talk to me and asked me about the dealer and what he did ....BUT the dealer is ignoring me and GM calls.
