Hi guys! I need some help locating a problem with my GF's Tahoe. The interior lights click on and off randomly and for various periods of time. It was really distracting while driving and she was worried about it draining her battery, as it kicked on while the truck was off also, so I pulled the fuse for the lights. I did notice that when it kicks on and off, you can hear an audible click, like a relay being triggered. I stopped in an Autozone on the way to work this morning to see if I could find out what the part was at least and they didn't know. I checked the door and the switch to trigger the light works fine. So I'm not sure what the issue is. Any help anybody can toss me would be appreciated. Thanks!

sounds like a ad door switch. if your sure they are good, i'd check the headlight switch assembly for internal shorting.

I checked all the door switches and I'll pull apart the headlight switch assy tonight, as that's what the guy at Napa and Autozone said too. The sound is coming from the driver's side near the bottom of the dashboard. I haven't had a chance to pull anything apart because of work and it's been about 4 degrees outside :( Thanks for the help! Appreciate it.

Well, I've been waiting to hear the noise again and the lights and everything seem to be working. I did play with the door switches for the trunk area, as my GF said she was having an issue with it locking when she used her keypad. Maybe it was just one of the door switches was stuck? Either way, it seems to be working fine now. If I have any issues with it, I'll let you guys know. Thanks again for all the help!

ok i had the same problem as you did with my truck, and i thought this was crazy too but check the connectors under your gf seat, where it connects to the seats power controle for the movement of the seat, mine wasn't connected well and my lights would turn on and off randomly, and when the connection was bad i couldn't us my key pad to lack my doors or unlock them, and i noticed it would change back and forth when i would climb onto the seat, so check the connections under your drivers seat, both into the side panel and the connector thats black and routes everything together, but i have had this problem and it took me a while to go through all other pssible causes
