Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a set of take off 20 inch 2008 Avalanche wheels with TPMS for my 2004 Yukon. My truck currently has TPMS using the aluminum sensors. Will the new wheels from the Avalanche work on my truck? I can't tell 100% from the picture but it looks like the new wheels don't have the aluminum sensors.

Thanks.

They dropped the alum. sensors about a year ago due to corrosion problems in the rust belt. So the NBS sensors are all the same, just rubber now. Don't know if they'll work on your '04 tho. Probably not since they send an actual pressure reading and the others just trip a low pressure alarm. Probably need to ask a knowledgeable service dept tech tho.

I get a monthly onstar report emailed to me and it reports the exact tire pressure in each wheel, so whatever I have now is able to measure tire pressure somehow.

I'm really hoping that they work...anyone know for sure? Somebody must have done something like this before right? :confused2:
